Individual Packing List for Trek 2023
Delta 6th Ward
5 gallon bucket with lid and name on it
Pack what you can in your bucket and then you can bring a small bag or backpack for other items.
Water bottle or Canteen - Don’t forget for hydration on the trail!
You need to BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH for July 5th on the drive there. Bring snacks and drinks for the road.
Personal snacks you might want while you're there.
Money for dinner on the way home.
2 day of period style clothing, Travelling clothes for 2 days at your discretion. Remember we will be crossing the river 1 time so avoid white or light colored shirts those days.
Men: Pants, long sleeve button up shirts (Optional vest, suspenders, handkerchiefs, etc.)
Women: Dresses or skirts, button up shirts (Optional bonnets, aprons, etc.) Remember we will be crossing the river 1 time so avoid white or light colored shirts those days.
Bloomers, knee shorts, or leggings under dress to minimize chafing.
Brimmed hat for the sun. No ball caps.
4 days worth of underwear
4 days of socks. Good quality socks for hiking.
Shoes - Good quality hiking shoes or boots that have been broken in.
Jacket or Sweater
Pajamas, or sweats for night time
Water shoes or extra pair of shoes for river crossing - optional
Toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, personal care needs, pack of wipes
Pocket size flashlight/Headlamp
Small scriptures
Journal
Personal medications
Flashlight
Sleeping bag and sleeping pad placed inside double garbage bags or duffle bag with your name on it.
Pillow if desired. May want to take with you while driving.
Rain poncho/Rain gear
Small towel
Insect repellent
Consider treating your clothes with Permethrin insect repellent before trek
Vasoline, body glide, baby powder, chafing stick - for chafing
Extra pair of socks
Good quality work gloves
Lip balm
Small sunscreen
Mosquito head net
Camping chair
Small garbage bag for dirty or wet clothes
Leukotape for blisters - Can buy online on Amazon
